Objectives of Session:
A brief explanation of the Internet and an introduction to its terminology will be presented, followed by a discussion of different ways the Internet is currently being used by camps, including e-mail and web pages. Live demonstrations will illustrate key points concerning communication and marketing strategies using e-mail and the World Wide Web. Advice on how to get "on-line" will be given as time permits.
Brief Description of Subject Matter to be Covered:
"The Internet is becoming a part of our everyday lives, and camps have begun to take advantage of this new communication and marketing tool at an accelerated rate. Learn what the Internet can do for your camp by participating in live demonstrations of e-mail, electronic discussion lists, World Wide Web 'home pages' for camps, interactive forms to request camp information, and more. Issues in getting your camp 'on-line' will be discussed as time permits." See Outline
