This session will present an overview of federally funded nutrition programs that can be incorporated into your camp to greatly reduce your operating costs. This presentation will include: user friendly handouts, a realistic view of paperwork vs. financial benefits, summary of next steps to take and a list of peers that already participate in these programs. Come and find out how you are leaving money on the table!
Learn to enliven your environmental education program during this hands-on, interactive workshop. Practical and economic ways to make props will be demonstrated along with slight of hand that will keep program participants on their toes.
REPEAT OF A-2 BUT A LITTLE MORE IN DEPTH
For those with particular interest in learning more about the Internet, this session will concentrate on what features to look for when selecting an Internet Service Provider (ISP); options on how to set up a web site, and costs involved. Information on how to create and maintain an electronic mailing list will also be presented.
What were your main health care problems when camp ended last summer? Bring your questions and concerns to this session. Also, bring your knowledge! Some topics that might be discussed are documentation, emergency transport, medications, insurance, standing orders, staff health, etc.
As a Resident Camp, the keystone to every great day is the evening program. This session will offer some practical advice about creating and running your own program along with exploring new creative possibilities through brainstorming.
